A Salamanca client requested a review and security assessment of the property they had recently purchased. As independent consultants to the client, Salamanca reviewed the threat, risks and existing security and produced a series of recommendations. These recommendations were graded from basic level through to the Rolls Royce solution. They were presented in a modular form with an estimate of prices for each element. Salamanca were then able to discuss the merits of each recommendation and agree with the client on the technical solutions that they required. The client selected a combination of discreet cameras (hidden in drain pipes etc) which were remotely monitored along with the alarm. This enabled them to have the system managed on their behalf, from setting and unsetting it through a phone call through to remote diagnostics to check for faults. Salamanca wrote a tender document, issued it to potential suppliers, conducted site visits with suppliers, managed the tender process and with the clients input, selected a supplier. Salamancas initial estimate of costs was within 1% of the suppliers quotation. Salamanca, then project managed the installation and tested it at completion prior to the client paying the contractor.
