Children may be our clients most valuable assets. We provide security awareness training to children that can be modified to include drug awareness training as well as country specific information for those that are travelling. Our courses are tailored to individual client requirements.
Case Study
The daughter of a client was travelling through South America on her gap year. Prior to her departure she had attended a security program and one of the elements was to avoid routine and always be aware and suspicious. The client's daughter, Anna (pseudo-name), was working in Brazil whilst staying in a house with friends of her parents.
One Friday she was on her way home and as usual, she had taken a taxi. As it approached the street where she was staying, there was a broken down car blocking the road. She asked the taxi driver to drop her at the end of the street so that she could walk the last 100 metres home. She was just getting out of the taxi when Anna noticed that some of the street lights seemed to be broken and the driver and passengers of the car looked suspicious.
Something didn't feel right; she pressed the panic button on her personal alarm/tracking device and got back into the taxi. The Salamanca monitoring centre were able to pin-point her exact location and listen in whilst she explained what had happened. They called the house and the police with the registration number of the car. Soon a police siren was heard and the driver and passengers of the abandoned car fled. The police duly arrived and inspected the abandoned car - it was clear that the driver's door had been forced open and the car was stolen. The police believed it was going to be used as a part of a kidnap attempt. For Anna the training and some technical support was invaluable.
