Case Study
An investment bank asked Salamanca to screen a potential employee employee. The screening was undertaken with the consent of the employee who was asked to fill out a form stating his qualifications and employment record, with contact details. When we checked the employment record we found a 6 month gap between two jobs that he had stated followed on one after the other. This was an initial red flag as at the very least he was hiding a period of unemployment. We spoke to the bank who asked us to investigate further. A week later we discovered that the potential employee had been imprisoned on a drunk driving charge. He was subsequently not employed.
